The Universe is progressive and expansive. It is growing and evolving as are we......after all, we are part of the Universe and the intelligence and consciousness that created the Universe. What most of us do not consider is that the collective mindset that Humans have been operating within for a long time, but especially in the last several hundred years is one that has resulted in devolving. Since the early proliferation of Human existence, the amount of species that have gone extinct has increased almost expedentially.
As Brian Swimme (Cosmologist and really cool dude) has said a number of times, We are in the middle of a mass extinction on earth (they take place about every 65 million years) and we are the cause of it, and we don't even know it! Over a 1000 species go extinct every year as a direct result of actions taken by Humans. Don't believe me, do a little research!!
The good news is that a shift is underway. We have arrived at a point where in order to progress and evolve, our thinking has to change, and so it is. With this shift, some people are spiralling downward out of control and others are growing like never before. The determining factor in which way an individual shifts is how they think and feel. More important than anything, is being true to ones Self and your connection to all that is. Your intuition will guide you on how you move forward, when you let it. And more and more people are beginning to trust and actually listen to their intuition.
The rational mind is where factual intellect resides. It is also where blind ignorance resides. Here is the deal with the rational mind, it knows what it knows and so by default it does not know what it does not know. It's only open to what can be proven, so it doubts anything that is not proven as fact. This is why Giordana Bruno was burned at the stake in the 13th century because he said that the Earth was not the center of the Universe and everything did not revolve around the Earth, the planets actually revolved around the Sun. Today, we know he was right, and if the rational minds of his day actually listened to him and looked at the math he did, they would have believed him as well.....poor Giordano!!
By contrast, the intuitive mind knows that it does not know everything, and is open to that fact. Where did the idea for the Ipad come from? It evolved from some really keen open minds at Apple. The intuitive mind is not closed, it is open and curious. When you embrace intuition, miracles happen. Guidance for progressing and evolving is provided for you to act upon and as you embrace this guidance, awesome things begin to show up in your experience. More importantly, by being open and curious, you can move forward with the shift that is taking place. Those that won't open up or resist will become stagnant and frustrated as things will just not work out as they may have in the past.
Look at the economy over the past 6 years. What has changed? Not much really. The Economy as we know it will change dramatically in the next few decades if not before. Look at the Middle East, and all the unrest. People are fed up. Just look at the lunacy that is called the American Government. There are some crazy people that were elected by citizens making policy (if you call it that). I'm not on a anti government rant, my point is the economy, dictatorships, the US governement are not progressive entities and all will go the way of the Do Do bird.......and Thank goodness.
So, as this shift takes place, will it cause challenges? You bet, but the intuitive mind will guide each of us on working through any and all challenges that come up. No need to be afraid of anything. So, how can you become more intuitive? First, practice quieting the mind's incessant stream of thoughts. Do you meditate? 15 minutes a day can make a huge difference.......try it. Second, while you travel to and from work, just observe your thoughts so you become aware of them. Don't try to stop them, just observe them. More on this to come, but in the mean time get quiet, sit and see what comes to you, if you are inspired to do something or research or read up on something, do it.......there is a reason for having that thought to do it.....so, Do it!!!
