Do you know what that means? Surrender? Have you heard the phrase "Let go, let God"? For the purposes of this post, think of God as Grand Organizing Design.....For me, that is Source Energy, the intelligence and consciousness that is at the essence of everything. "Let go, let God" is essentially going with the flow of the Universe rather than resisting it. And what is the flow of the Universe? Well, it's progressive, expansive and Loving.
My Highest Goal is "To be connected with the flow of the Universe". You and I are part of the Universe, and the Universe is expansive, so we are expansive....unless we resist. Anytime you are experiencing angst, frustration, anger, or any negative emotion, you are in resistance of your own expansion. When you are experiencing joy, Love, Bliss or any other positive emotion, you are not resisting and in the flow of your own expansion. Simple?
Now, the simple fact of the matter is that we all experience resistance. And to be honest, there is nothing inherently wrong with some resistance, just don't pitch a tent there and call it home. Just recognize when you are there and deliberately move away from it and back into the Flow. You can do that in less than a minute. Making the decision to change your emotional state is Free Will, and you always have it. GOD's or Source's will is always progressive and expansive but sometimes not so easy to realize.
Joseph Campbell taught that each of us has what he called "The Heroes Journey" and it's not just one journey, but life is a series of these Heroes Journeys (check out the movie "Finding Joe"). It starts with "Separation" and then moves to "Initiation" and then "Return". Separation is something uncomfortable, the loss of a job, a divorce or relationship ending, some kind of injury (you know, life happening to you). Initiation is an insight, an epiphany or an "Aha" moment of clarity ( a change of perspective or miracle) and then Return is bringing that new perspective into life, or where you come from on your journey forward.
The Separation in the Heroes journey is GOD's Will as is the Initiation. Recognizing these two parts of your journey and then returning to the Flow is your will. Free Will. When we are willing to listen to GOD or Source, the separation can be very subtle and much less disruptive, but when we resist or are not open to GOD's guidance (intuitive messages) the separation occurence escalates until sometimes it is like being hit in the head with a 2 x 4 board......literally!!!
One manifestation of separation can come in the form of physical ailments. Your body is a great communicator especially if you listen. The following is a story of a woman that finally listened to GOD or Source. She lives in London and is a naturopathic healer by profession. She began experiencing very severe headaches that eventually escalated to the point that all she could do at the outset of one was sit in a dark closet. They became frequent enough that she sought help from her doctor. They tried medication and different protocols with no improvement. She had an MRI done and they found a tumor deep in her brain that was the cause of the headaches.
The tumor was located in a part of the brain that made it too dangerous to operate and remove it. Before she agreed to radiation, she wanted to try her own approach since she was a naturpathic healer that worked with energy. She soon realized that her thoughts about the tumor were not very positive, in fact they were down right negative especially when she was experiencing one of the headaches. She related that she hated the tumor, and actually visualized Pac Men from the 80's video game chasing and eating the tumor.
She realized these thoughts were not helping and not in alignment with her beliefs about the bodies life energy, so she decided to deliberately change her thoughts about the tumor. She realized by hating the tumor, she was actually hating herself as the tumor was part of her. She began "sending" the tumor Love and thinking "I don't know why you are here, but I know you have a purpose that will serve me in my growth". She realized, the tumor may be here to take her home from the physical life here on Earth and reconciled being okay with that. In a very short amount of time, the headaches began to subside. After two months, she requested the doctor do another MRI. To the huge surprise of the doctor, the tumor had shrunk with no medical treatment. Eventually, all traces, even the scar tissue that had formed at the edge of the tumor dissapeared.
So, you can see her Heroes Journey pretty clearly, Separation was the headaches and tumor, initiation was her realizing her own non-progressive thoughts about the tumor and her return was that she had lived through the experience of what her healing work was capable of.
My point with this post is, Life, GOD, Source or the Universe is on a progressive path that we occasionally veer off of. When we do, we get messages that we have veered off the path, and we have the Free Will to recognize those messages before they become a proverbial 2 x 4 upside our head. There is a lot of separation going on with humanity right now. Global unrest, the Economy, Corrupt governments, the way we treat the environment.......and they are all escalating until we realize the initiation and determine the path to return.......buckle up, its going to be a wild but liberating ride!!
